HOW TO APPLY

  1. Fill up the registration form below:

  2. All participants need to provide copy of ID/ passport

    Download & print the agreement form from the link below:

  3. Sign the media release agreement and send it back via email to [aspireballetdubai@gmail.com] if you do participate
  4. Once you confirm the number of entries, payment should be done via bank transfer for those schools from outside of the UAE.

JUDGES

Horaţiu Cherecheş, born on June 22, 1969, in Romania, is a renowned ballet soloist, choreographer, and academic.

He began his career at the Romanian National Opera (1988–1990), later performing in France and serving as First Ballet Soloist at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet “Oleg Danovski” (1992–2022), where he was also Ballet Master and choreographer (2010–2023). Since 2015, he has been an associate lecturer at the University “Ovidius” in Constanța and holds a PhD in Choreographic Direction (2021).

His notable choreographies include Romeo and Juliet (2014), Snow White (2016), Wedding in the Carpathians (2018), and The Pearl Fishers (2022). Widely awarded, he has performed internationally and speaks Romanian, French, English, and Italian.

Iryna Tsymbal, born on January 22nd, 1979 in Minsk (Belarus), is an Austrian citizen.

She trained at the Choreographic Academy in Minsk and began her career as a principal dancer in Riga, later performing in Vilnius, Budapest, and Vienna, where she became First Soloist of the Wiener Staatsballett until 2020.

From 2015–2020, she studied Ballet Pedagogy and Choreography in Moscow, graduating with distinction. She has taught internationally and currently teaches in Austria. Also a certified Romana’s Pilates instructor, she works with dancers and serves as a competition jury member.

Irina has performed works by leading choreographers and received numerous awards, including prizes in Varna, Paris, and the “People/Artist of the Year” award from Belarus in 1996.

Nicole Syrianou is an award-winning dance artist, choreographer, and educator with over 15 years of experience.

Trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, with postgraduate studies in Dance Therapy and Jungian Analysis, her career spans classical ballet, hip hop, and contemporary dance. She is the founder and director of Pantechnon Dance School in Mykonos, where her students have achieved national and international acclaim.

As a choreographer, she has presented works such as Grab my hand (Mykonos Art Festival 2021) and Plato’s Cave, and she continues to inspire through acclaimed productions, workshops, and her role as a competition judge.


FEES

Each participant is allowed to perform:

  • Solo:
    In person – Euro 55/ AED 235
  • Duet or Trios: Euro 45 / AED 200 per each participant
  • Group Dance up to 8 participants: Euro 35/ AED 155 per each participant
  • Group Dance more than 8 participants: Euro 30/ AED 130 per each participant
  • Any additional dance from the same category of the same dance style for the same participant will be charged extra:
    Ex. 2nd Solo for the same participant Euro 45/ AED 200.
  • 2nd Duet or Trio Euro 35/ AED 155 2nd
  • Group Dance of 8 participants Euro 30/ AED 130 .
  • More then 8 participants Euro 25/ AED 1 10
  • Workshop Schedule & Fees:
    Classical Ballet: 1h and 30min
    Repertoire: 1h and 30min
    Contemporary: 1h and 30min
  • Fees:
    1 .Masterclass: Euro 60/ AED 260
  • 2. Masterclasses: Euro 100/ AED 430
  • 3. Masterclasses: Euro 140/ AED 600
  • These fees are charged per performer per category
  • Any additional category will be charged extra
  • 5% VAT will apply on all fees.

For UAE participants they can either pay cash or bank transfer.

Please note that, each school i s responsible to complete the payments for their participants.

We are very competitive in the industry with our registration fees. These should be completed by the 10th of November 2025.

RULES & GUIDELINES

  1. This year we are holding the online competition separate from In-person competition.
  2. The filming does not have to be done by a professional therefore the teacher can film the contestant on a device, as long as the footage and sound are clear.
  3. The footage should be submitted via a secure platform such as Wetransfer or similar service.
  4. Online participants must sign the Filming Agreement Form. If the participant is below 18 years old, their legal guardian can sign on their behalf.
  5. Filming should be undertaken in a dance studio or stage.
  6. The contestants must be fully visible on the footage ensuring their whole body (From head to foot) are captured during their performance.
  7. All our judges are well-prepared and competent for the International Dance Competition. Any decision by our judges are deemed final. We pride ourselves on being fair.
  8. The group dance will be passed in the age category applicable to the oldest performer in the group.
  9. Music should not be offensive or contain swearing.
  10. The judging panel reserves the right decision to re-assign any routine that they see it is not placed in the correct category.
  11. Each participant is allwoed to represent only One school in the competition. Dancers registered under more than one school will not be permitted to compete.
  12. If entry fees are not paid ,the performers won’t be allowed to participate in the competition.

Number of entries will be on a first come, first serve basis and will be limited to the amount of performance time available. Aspire Ballet Dubai has the right to add or remove days for the competition depending on the number of registrations.

A general performance schedule will be posted on the website 2-3 days prior to the competition.

CATEGORIES

The age of the participants will be taken based on the competition day. The participant must be registered to the age category depending on how old they are by the day of the competition.

  1. Tiny 6-8 yr
    This category are not restricted to the classical repertoire, they can perform Variation, Contemporary, hip hop, or free Solo time limit up to 1:30 min, ( Judged under the same category )
  2. Petite 9-11 yr
    These categories are not restricted to the classical repertoire, they can Perform Variation, Contemporary, or free Solo in seprate dance category, time limit up to 2:00 min. ( Judged in seperate categories depending on the style of dance )
  3. Junior 12-14 yr
    These categories can perform any Variation from classical ballet repertories, Character Or Contemporary dance time limit up to 2:30 min. ( Judged in seperate categories depending on the style of dance )
  4. Senior 15-18 yr
    Variation from Classical Ballet Repertories, Character Or Contemporary dance time limit up to 2:30 min. ( Judged in seperate categories depending on the style of dance )
  5. Elite 17-20 yr
    Variation from Classical Ballet Repertories on point shoes, Character Or Contemporary dance time limit up to 2:30 min. ( Judged in seperate categories depending on the style of dance )
  6. Professional 20-29 yr
    Variation from Classical Ballet Repertories, Character Or Contemporary dance time limit up to 2:30 min. ( Judged in seperate categories depending on the style of dance )
  7. Professional 30+ Yr Variation form classical ballet Repertories, Character Ot Contemporary dance time limit up to 2:30 min.
  8. Pas de Duex 11-30 yr & 30 + Separately
    All dancers will perform Adajio and Coda from the classical ballet repertories time up to 6:00 min .
  9. Duet 8-30 yr & 30+ Separately
    This Category can perform contemporary or Character work from classical reporters time up to 2:30 min.
  10. Trio 8-30 yr & 30 + Separately
    This Category can perform Classical ballet, Character from classical ballet reporters or contemporary time limit up to 3:00 min.
  11. Small & Large Group Dance available for All Categories ages- The avarge ages group Junior below 11 years old and senior 12+ .
    (Up to 9 participants) Time limit up to 3:00 min (More then 9 participants) Time Limit up to 3:30

STYLE OF DANCE

  • Classical Ballet: (Repertoire)
    A routine containing classical steps and ballet technique and steps with or without pointe shoes.
  • Character:
    A dance routine of any style that portrays a recognizable character.
  • Contemporary:
    A blend of modern technique and lyrical elements with a strong emphasis.
  • Modern & Jazz:
    A routine including interpretive movement demonstrating balance control and extension.
  • Acrobatics:
    A routine in which choreography is a blend of acrobatic and Dance.
  • Hip- Hop:
    A routine using primarily hip-hop technique and movements, including street dance style
  • Folklore: Dancers showcase the rich traditions and cultural stories of their homeland through movements and Costumes
  • Free style:
    A Combination of dance style and any acrobatics/gymnastic tricks are allowed.
  • Any routine containing three or more acrobatics or gymnastics elements should listed under the acrobatics category
  • Please note that if there are Not enough participants under any category we moved to the free style , As well the Judge s has the right to move any routine to another category style if they found it it’s not listed under the contract category.

The most beautiful expression routine and well performance will receive free entry for the next DIDC competition.

 All participants will receive a certificate Signed by all our international judges.
